WiML ICML Dinner 2019

Please join us for an exciting dinner organized by the Women in Machine Learning (WiML) organization. The dinner is co-located with ICML in Long Beach, California, and takes place at an outdoor patio at 108 Yoga Studio, a short walk from the ICML venue, on Monday, June 10th from 7.30-10pm. Food is catered by Ahimsa Vegan Cafe.

The goal of this event is to bring together women in machine learning from different research areas and across all stages of their careers. Everyone is encouraged to attend, however, we ask that you only register if you are committed to attending.

We are delighted to have Kamalika Chaudhuri (ICML Program Co-Chair) and Barbara Engelhardt (ICML Diversity Co-Chair) as our speakers. Come hear about their experience, career path, and unique perspective on the machine learning community.

Important registration info

To accommodate increased demand, we are piloting a new registration process. There are two things you need to do to register for this event:

1. If you already have an access code, go directly to Step 2. Otherwise, fill in this Google Form (https://forms.gle/VP2DJr9YwuvfQp5p6) to obtain an access code.
2. Return to this Eventbrite page on May 26th 1pm Eastern Time to use your access code to register. If the event is sold-out, check back again on June 7th 1pm Eastern Time, when more spots will open up.

FAQs

I am a man. Can I attend?

Yes. All genders are welcome to attend!

I have dietary restrictions. Will there be something I can eat?

Dinner will be buffet-style with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. While we will try our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, we cannot guarantee that every restriction can be accommodated.

I can't make it anymore. What do I do?

We greatly appreciate you canceling your registration, so that someone else can take your spot. You can cancel by logging onto your Eventbrite account on a computer (not mobile).

Is my registration transferrable?

With the scale of the event, we're not able to manually transfer registrations. Please cancel your registration if you can't make it anymore.

Is it ok if the name on my registration doesn't match the person who actually attends?

To help us keep track of who attends our events and provide accurate info to our sponsors, please only register for yourself.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately no as spots are limited. However, your intended plus one can register on her/his own.

How do I update my registration information (affiliation, whether to share info with sponsors, etc.)?

Log into your Eventbrite account.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, just show up, and we will check you in.
